A simple way to create depth and height in the overall design of a yard is by constructing terraced flowerbeds with landscaping timbers. Installing a terrace is a wonderful way to raise a flowerbed and helps to create a focal point. The advantage of doing this is not only to help the area look more attractive; it also is a great way to save space when landscaping a smaller yard. Another benefit to building terraced flowerbeds with landscaping timbers makes gardening wheelchair accessible, and allows everyone to take advantage of this enjoyable pastime.

By sectioning off an area in a garden where strawberries are to be grown for example will save one the headache of trying to keep these plants from taking over the rest of the garden and choking out other plants. Landscaping timbers that are used in a garden are a wonderful way to keep the area organized.

There are now many different types of landscaping timbers that can be purchased. These landscaping timbers can come in various sizes, lengths and materials. Some prefer to use landscaping timbers that are flat on the bottom because they are easier to place and can save time during the construction process. The materials that landscaping timbers are made out of can vary from real wood to plywood.

Many choose to use real wood landscaping timbers because they are not chemically treated and are safe to use around children and pets.
